The allowances, defined.
Usage-based pricing is only fair if the unit is obvious. Here is exactly what is being counted.
- AI replies
- One AI reply is one answer the chatbot writes to a question from a visitor. A visitor can ask several questions in one conversation, and each counts once, however long the answer. Opening the widget, the welcome message and leaving contact details do not count.
- Indexed pages
- An indexed page is one page of your website held in the knowledge your chatbot answers from. Pages with almost no text are skipped, and so is anything your robots.txt asks crawlers to avoid. The allowance is the page limit we use when indexing your site, and indexing stops when it is reached; on Pro it is divided between your chatbots. Documents and written notes you give us are added separately and do not count as pages.
- Chatbots and websites
- A chatbot is one configured assistant with its own knowledge, instructions, widget styling and approved domains. Starter covers one chatbot on one website. Growth covers up to two chatbots on up to two websites, and Pro up to three on up to three, which suits agencies, multiple brands or several locations. With more than one chatbot, each has its own share of the plan’s replies and pages; a single chatbot has the whole allowance.

Additional AI replies
US$20 per 1,000 AI replies
Extra usage is arranged in advance. Chatsoro does not add automatic overage charges to your account.
If a chatbot reaches its allowance and no extra usage has been arranged, it stops answering until the allowance resets at the start of the next calendar month, rather than running up a charge you did not agree to.
Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude taxes such as GST or VAT, which are added at checkout where they apply. Payment is taken securely by Stripe, by card or direct debit. Annual plans are a single payment covering twelve months.

What counts as an AI reply?
One AI reply is one answer to one question from a visitor, however long the answer. A single conversation usually contains several.
Loading a page with the widget on it, opening the widget, the welcome message and leaving contact details do not count.
What happens if I reach my allowance?
Nothing is charged automatically. When a chatbot reaches its monthly allowance it stops answering and tells visitors it cannot reply right now. The allowance resets at the start of each calendar month.
If you would rather the chatbot kept answering, additional replies can be arranged in advance. There is no customer login yet, so ask us at any time and we will tell you how much of the month’s allowance has been used.
Can I remove Chatsoro branding?
Not at the moment. Every chatbot shows a small “Powered by Chatsoro” line under the conversation, on every plan.
Everything else a visitor sees is yours: the chatbot’s name, your colour, your logo and your welcome message.
Is there a free plan?
There is no permanent free plan. Setting up a chatbot involves reviewing your content and configuring it properly, and a free tier does not support that work.
Instead, every plan can start with a 14-day free trial, set up with you on your own website. Nothing is charged for the 14 days, and you can cancel any time before they end.
How does annual billing work?
An annual plan is one payment covering twelve months, charged at the price of ten. The exact annual total is shown next to each plan so the commitment is clear before you choose it.
What is an indexed page?
An indexed page is one page of your website held in the knowledge your chatbot draws on. Pages with almost no text are skipped, and so is anything your robots.txt asks crawlers to avoid.
The allowance is the page limit we use when indexing your site, and on Pro it is divided between your chatbots. If your site has more pages than your plan allows, indexing stops at the limit, so we will talk that through with you before you choose a plan. Documents and written notes do not count as pages.
Can I pay for a plan today?
Not through this website yet. Plans are arranged directly with us while Chatsoro is in early access, which is also why prices are marked as provisional.
